How to Find Moor House Adventure Centre:
Moor House Adventure Centre
The centre is located just outside Durham approx. 3/4 mile east of junction 62 of the A1M, opposite Ramside Hall Hotel and Golf Course. The site is accessed at the end of a now closed lay-by on the A690, through white iron gates and down a private tarmac road to a large, tarmac well-lit car park.
To get to Moor House via Public transport you can catch the Go North East 20 or 20A, known as ‘The Prince Bishops’, which travels from Durham Bus Station to South Shields Town Centre via the Sunderland Interchange.
Each bedroom is a dormitory room and each bed will have a single pillow and a bed sheet. There are several bathrooms containing a shower, toilet and sink for the use of residents. Outdoor residents also have access to a shower & toilet block.
The bedrooms, with the exception of the disabled room, do not have plug sockets, so we recommend bringing along a power bank. The hall in which games are held has plenty of plug sockets so you will be able to charge your phone during the day.
Moor House has a fully equipped professional kitchen where meals will be prepared by Lindsay, Megan and Jane who have volunteered to cook for us for the weekend.
Please note: smoking and the use of chewing gum are not allowed anywhere at Moor House Adventure Centre, indoors or outside.
